Water is one of the most valuable natural resources on Earth and is vital to all organic life forms. However, access to clean drinking water is an important basic need that has become a privilege or even a hard-to-find commodity for many people around the world. But one startup has created a revolutionary machine that could change all that. This innovative device, called Kara Pure, collects clean drinking water from the air and dispenses up to 10 liters (2.5 gallons) of precious liquid per day.
The innovative air-water filtration system also functions as an air purifier and dehumidifier, producing clean water from even the most polluted air. First, the device collects air and filters it. The purified air is then converted into water and passed through its own filtration system. The clean and purified air is then released back into the environment and the purified water is stored for your use. Kara Pure currently only delivers room temperature water, but the startup has promised to develop hot and cold water functionality once it reaches its $200,000 goal. So far (as of this writing) they have raised over $140,000 on Indiegogo.
With a simple yet luxurious design, Kara Pure is not only eco-friendly but also helps improve health by providing “high alkaline water.” The machine uses a built-in ionizer to separate water into acidic and alkaline parts. It then improves water quality with alkaline minerals above pH 9.2, including calcium, magnesium, lithium, zinc, selenium, strontium and metasilicic acid, effectively boosting your immune system and overall health.
“Only by bringing together a team of experienced engineers and consultants from different industries, it was possible to develop a technology capable of producing up to 2.5 gallons of safe drinking water from the air,” the startup explains. “With Kara Pure, we hope to make full use of water from the air to reduce dependence on groundwater and provide everyone with high-quality, local, alkaline drinking water.”
The project is still at the crowdfunding stage, but mass production will begin in February 2022. The final product will begin shipping in June 2022.
